Is Melodius available on Android?
Yes. Melodius is free on Google Play for Android phones, with background playback and lock-screen controls. Search for Melodius on Google Play or use the Get it on Google Play button on this page.
Is the Melodius Android app free?
Yes. There is no subscription, no advertising and no paid tier on Android or on the web. Playlists, Jams, Blend, listening stats and Sound Capsule are all on the free account.
Do my playlists and stats sync between Android and the web?
Yes. Your library, listening history and preferences live on your Melodius account, so signing in on Android gives you the same playlists, liked songs and stats you have on the web.
Does Melodius play in the background on Android?
Yes. Playback continues with the screen off or while you use other apps, and you can play, pause, skip and seek from the lock screen and the notification.
Is there a Melodius app for iPhone?
Not as a native app. On iPhone and iPad, Melodius runs in Safari through the web app, with the same account and library as on Android.
Is there a Windows app?
Not yet. A Windows app is planned but has not been released. The Melodius web app works fully on Windows in any modern browser in the meantime.
Can I listen offline?
No. Melodius has no offline mode, on Android or on the web, so listening needs an internet connection.
Can I move my Spotify playlists to Melodius?
Yes. Connect Spotify with read-only playlist access and Melodius rebuilds each playlist natively by matching its tracks against the Melodius catalogue. Liked songs and listening history are not included.
